Welcome to the Provincial Outreach Program for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students. This site is designed to support Deaf/deaf and hard of hearing students, teachers, parents, and other paraprofessionals working with D/HH students throughout the Province of British Columbia.
Our goal is to provide access to general information about deafness, hearing loss, relevant resources, professional development and a venue where an exchange of experiences, ideas and resource materials can occur.
What's New
- Note: Outreach DHH will be closed for summer vacation from June 30th to Aug. 18th, 2009.
- Kids' Korner is a new section under "education" designed to "showcase" the excellent work of Deaf/deaf and hard of hearing students all over the province. There is an elementary and secondary "bulletin board". We are requesting that TDHH facilitate this 'exhibit' by submitting your student's work. Permission from both student, and his/her parent is needed.
- Teachers' Treasures is another new section under 'education" where TDHH can share your best and successful lesson plan and/or your favorite resources.
Both of these sections will be constantly updated. We truly appreciate your participation in making both sections an inspiring and helpful resource for everyone.
- Discussion Forum: Register Information
- Click on the Discussion Forum icon to the right side of this page.
- When the discussion forum page appears, click Register (top left). A form will be presented to you. Enter your username (as you would like it to appear in the discussions) and a current email address. The other information on the form is not required.
- Click the Register Submit button (bottom right). A password will be sent to the email address you used on registration. This password can easily be changed.

- Login to the discussion forum.
- On the top right click on "View Your Profile".
- Click "Edit". There you will see "New password" and an opportunity to change it by entering your new choice twice and then clicking on Update Profile.
