After 34 years in education, Marguerite has never missed the first day of school in her life. Acquiring her B.Ed in 1974 from the University of Alberta with a Major in Physical Sciences and a Minor: Special Ed, she then attended the Diploma Program for D and HH from UBC in 1975. After graduation she started teaching at Jericho Hill School for the Deaf that same year and has been there ever since. She received her MA in Special Education from UBC in 1978. Thirty-four years later, she has worn the hat of Teacher of the Deaf and hard of hearing (1975-1988), Vice -Principal (1988-2001), Principal (2001-present), District Principal (2003-2007) and now the Direction of Instruction. Her dedication and commitment to Deaf Education is still as strong as it was her first year.
