16th Annual Hornby Island Family Deaf Camp - This camp is for families or individual members from the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community who use sign langue for all or part of their communication.

July 13 - 17, 2009
Family Summer Immersion 2009 - A week long program offered by Services for Family and Community Development. Families with children ages 5 to 19 who use sign language for all or part of their communication are invited to come together to share, to learn, and to connect with one another!

July 20 - 22, 2009
Claymation - Hours: 10:00 am - 4:00pm Ages: 10 - 18
Location: Burnaby Fees: $30.
A method of animation in which clay figures are filmed using stop-motion photography.

July 23 - 24, 2009
Golf - Hours: 10:00 am - 4:00pm Ages: 10 - 18
Location:
South Surrey Fees: $40.
Improve your golf skills. Taught by a certified professional golf instructor. Interpreter provided.

July 25 - 31, 2009
7 Days of Reading - Hours: 10:00 am - 2:30 pm Ages: 8 - 16
Location:
Burnaby Fees: $45.
This is an acttion-packed week for deaf signing childrenand youth that are motivated to improve their reading skills.

August 4 - 7, 2009
Summer Fun - Hours: 10:00 am - 4:00pm Ages: 5 - 12
Location: Burnaby Fees : $40.
Planned events will include: Aquarium, Cosmic Bowling, Science World and Playland. Tons of fun! Lots of supervision!!!

August 10 - 14, 2009
Girl Power - Girls Only - Ages: 11 - 17 Location: Burnaby Fees: $40.
Popular program last year! Activities: slumber party, self image, self exteem boosting, dress up and professional photo shoot, jewelry making.

August 17 - 21, 2009
Sports Week - Ages: 7 - 12 and 13 - 18 Location: TBA Fees: $40.
This week is organized by B.C. Deaf Sports Federation (BCSDF) and DYT staff will be there supporting this fun-filled Sports Week focusing on a variety of indoor and outdoor sports.
