APD - Auditory Processing Disorder

Hello,
I was hoping to find out how other districts are handling APD referrals. Our district (Surrey) is currently relooking at how these requests are going to be reviewed and supported?

1. What are your views?
2. What is your process?
3. Who is handling these referrals (SLP, TDHH, LST (combination)?

Any feedback would be much appreciated - thanks!

I used to do the SCAN (screening for auditory processing) upon request from the school psychologist. I no longer do it, as I felt it wasn't useful. I don't know what to do with those students (unfunded) who may have APD......I would LOVE to work with them or at least consult. So, in our district (#8), not much is done.....other than SLP or LST support
